MINE; Sensibility Data-Block Chain & Virtual Mining Space 2023

In the future, how would we percieve space if we can datatify all the human soul, and exist in the virtual space? And what factors make us feel like human-centered space in this world?

This project integrates digital practices to scientifically approach the evolutionary hypotheses of space resulting from future technological advancements, and explored how we perceive space, designing virtual spaces in-between human and data perspectives through our sensory perception process.

Humans are constantly exposed to physical/non-physical stimuli, which evoke emotions and thoughts. And sensibility is tendency to seek and perceive such stimuli, and I hypothesized that we will continue to live as Sensibility Data-Block Miner in this virtual space, MINE.

In MINE, we layer and control our Sensation/Stimulus Data, and through mining Sensibility Data-Blocks, we experience the new dimension of space. Then, create new spaces combining stimulus data that we layered while we mining SDB through this process. Therefore, we discover emotions hidden in the subconscious by layered senses, digging other people, and explore the essence.

Sensibility Data-Mining Blockchain

Inspired by blockchain technology and binary systems used to store and process data in computers, this Sensibility Data-mining blockchain reflects the world through a mirror surface on the front while black Foamex on the back represents the regulation of sensory data.

How would we perceive the space in MINE with layered datas and new formation of space? For instance, by emphasizing stimuli data and sensation data, ‘Vision’, ‘Wind’, ‘Feel’, we create new dimension of space and perceive things in new ways as ‘floating’.
