Madang in my back, my herniated voids 2024
In 2024, I had been through severe herniated disc pain. My back and thighs felt like getting ripped and at the end I got paralysed on my right leg. There was an medical accident on January, after few months of ineffective treatments, I had to get an emergency surgery on July. My herniated disc was removed, and my spine bone was ground to make space for fasciculus. This project is about my experience of pain and all voids that i needed.

*Madang ;마당
;A madang is considered a crucial part of a traditional Korean house architecture, not just a garden. It is an open, unencumbered outdoor space which should be remained to be void of space for interacting outdoor to indoor with cooling down/heating up inside the house and bring the lights through the house.

Paralysis * Pain
2024

The coexistence of paralysis and pain. The piercing pain, the overwhelming numbness that follows, and the fear that comes with it. A story of the numb tingling in the right leg accompanied by unrelenting pain.
