Buffer-zone 2024
This installation is about all of relationships between humans, countries, nature, any of things which can be connected. What is bufferzone? I personally felt the small grass grown up underneath the storm drain as bufferzone. The balanced distance made itself grew up with enough sunlight without getting stepped by human or cars. And every relationships needs a buffer zone not only to split&protect but also to connect each other as a balanced distance.

71’ of underground tunnel meditation 2024
How long do you spend time in public transport? In korean society, due to the high housing-price in seoul, commuters spend average 71minutes one way on transport. I also spent more than two hours a day on average traveling back and forth between school and my studio by subway. How do we perceive this unique space, subway? Most subway lines in Seoul are underground, making it feel as though we’re riding a tube moving through tunnels beneath the ground. I found comfort in the subway’s unique sense of public space, and it has become a place for me to empty my thoughts and meditate. The resonating sounds, swaying handles, and the lights of the underground tunnels over the window glass…

Madang in my back, my herniated voids 2024
In 2024, I had been through severe herniated disc pain. My back and thighs felt like getting ripped and at the end I got paralysed on my right leg. There was an medical accident on January, after few months of ineffective treatments, I had to get an emergency surgery on July. My herniated disc was removed, and my spine bone was ground to make space for fasciculus. This project is about my experience of pain and all voids that i needed.

A Pupa in the City 2024
Metamorphosing Urban Architecture in Seoul.
In seoul, due to many reasons such as rapid modernization, housing demands, urban renewal strategies, we can easily see reconstruction scene. When buildings are constructed in the city, materials like panels, fabrics, pipes, tarps, and nets are often used to signal construction for safety reasons, visibly creating boundaries between the site and the street.
All architecture, in this way, prepares its stage by showcasing the possibilities of space, layering itself into existence. Through panels, fabric, and nets, the potential of space emerges, and it feels as though a new life is being breathed into the space—like a pupa in cocoon preparing to transform into a butterfly.
This projects explores the phenomenon of urban reconstruction and the formation/structure of pupa, spatially interpreting the emotions and desires of modern city dwellers through the lens of personal experiences.

MINE; Sensibility Data-Block Chain & Virtual Mining Space 2023
In the future, how would we percieve space if we can datatify all the human soul, and exist in the virtual space? And what factors make us feel like human-centered space in this world?
This project integrates digital practices to scientifically approach the evolutionary hypotheses of space resulting from future technological advancements, and explored how we perceive space, designing virtual spaces in-between human and data perspectives through our sensory perception process.

Tamburins Mong | Samcheong Flagshipstore 2023
The deeper the scent, the deeper the concentration.
As a real world that greets Mongyudowon for the first step of the space, it begins to tell the story with a heavy ink. On the ground, as a medium between reality and the ideal, you walk through the lily of the valley and faces deeper scents. Then find the essence of incense in the ideal world between the roots of the sorching tree under the scorned ground. You came back with a lingering aftertaste from the ideal world and dreamed of the ideal world again.
2F real world
It’s a top-note space and a first impression and a restartable space. It‘s a sales space made of fresh fabric lighting using the physical properties of ’Meok‘ and a packaging custom space.
1F media world |
It’s a space of middle note and somewhere between the real world and the ideal world. It‘s a flower tea tasting space and photo zone with the chaos and free lighting of the light space.
B1 ideal world |
A meditation space with a slightly dark, dreamy atmosphere of illumination as a deep space of the bass note.

Gachi, sew the gap | 2021
Makgeolli bar, where the sewing industry in the neighborhood in Seoul, Korea, leads to fabric and is deeply rooted with persimmon trees.
Cheongpa-Seogye-dong, which has lost the characteristics of the neighborhood due to the weak competitiveness compared to the past when the sewing industry was active, and many natives live there.
"We sew through the gaps between _____"
(Time) The sewing process of the past is active and connects the life-filled city with the present.
(Space) Cheongpa-dong and Seogye-dong Site Connectivity: A space located on the border between Cheongpa-dong and Seogye-dong connects the two regions.
(Human) Local middle-aged/old people, young people, etc. are local residents and communities, where people and people are connected through space.
Layers of space pile up and form layers. The deeper you enter the space, the deeper the gap between people, space, and time, and the deeper the relationship. Human’s flow becomes threads and therefore, the gaps are sewed.
